This Privacy Policy explains how Fix My Speaker (“we”, “us”, “our”), operated by Hidayath Studios, collects, uses and protects information when you visit https://fixmyspeaker.tools (the “Site”).

Summary

  • The speaker cleaner tool generates sound locally in your browser. We do not record, access or upload any audio, and the tool does not ask for microphone access.
  • We don’t require you to create an account.
  • We may use cookies, including third-party advertising cookies from Google, to show ads and understand how the Site is used.
  • You can control or opt out of personalised advertising using the links below.

Information we collect

Information you give us

If you email us or use our contact form, we receive your name, email address, subject and message. Contact form submissions are stored securely in our website database and sent to our inbox so we can reply; we don’t store your IP address with them. We use this information only to reply and to improve the Site, we keep it only as long as needed for that, and we don’t sell it or add you to mailing lists.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our hosting server automatically logs standard technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, pages visited and the date and time of the visit. This is used for security, troubleshooting and to keep the Site running.

The speaker cleaner tool

The tool uses the Web Audio API in your browser to generate tones on your device. No audio is recorded, no microphone permission is requested, and no sound data is sent to us or anyone else. Your choice of mode, frequency and timer stays in your browser.

Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. The Site may use:

  • Essential cookies needed for the Site to work, including cookies set by WordPress and by our caching and security systems.
  • Analytics cookies to understand how visitors use the Site, such as which pages are popular. If we use an analytics service like Google Analytics, it may collect information such as pages visited, time on page and approximate location, generally in aggregated form.
  • Advertising cookies from third parties such as Google, described below.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how the Site works.

Advertising and Google AdSense

We may use Google AdSense to display ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this website or other websites.

Other third-party ad vendors or networks may also use cookies to serve ads on our Site. We don’t control these third-party cookies, and their use is governed by the vendors’ own privacy policies.

Where required by law, such as for visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK or other regions with consent requirements, we will ask for your consent before setting non-essential advertising cookies, using a consent message that meets Google’s requirements.

How we use information

We use information to:

  • Operate, maintain and secure the Site.
  • Understand how the Site is used and improve the tool and guides.
  • Show advertising that keeps the Site free.
  • Reply to your messages.

We do not sell your personal information.

Third-party links

Our guides may link to other websites, such as manufacturer support pages. We aren’t responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites.

Data retention

Server logs are kept for a limited time for security and troubleshooting. Emails are kept for as long as needed to respond and for our records. Third-party services keep data according to their own policies.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, to object to certain processing, or to withdraw consent. To make a request, email us at contact@fixmyspeaker.tools. In India, this includes your rights under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, to the extent it applies.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the Site, including HTTPS encryption. No method of transmission over the Internet is completely secure, however.
